The Story

As you have probably heard, we are going to be going through “The Story” as a church body over the next year.  I am particularly excited about this with our youth.  The Story is the Bible as one continuing story of God and His people.  One thing that I enjoy about The Story is that it reads much like a book you would read today, without verses and with lengthier chapters.  The Story is comprised of 31 chapters, 20 being Old Testament and 11 New Testament, with the words coming straight out of the 2011 NIV version.  I know that this will be something that will be easy, natural, manageable and exciting to read for our students.  This is definitely going to be a great opportunity for our students, children and adults at our church to read through the majority of the Bible over the course of 31 weeks as a body.

I want to let you know of 3 ways that you can purchase The Story for your child if you have not already.

  1. Purchase a copy in the Rafters this Sunday before we start at 11:00am for the price of $7. You can pay by cash or check. We only have 20 copies so it will be first come, first serve.
  2. Purchase a hard copy online. The best price I have found is at christianbook.com.  You can get the book directly by clicking here.
  3. Purchase a Kindle/eBook version for only $3.99 to use on your Kindle, iPad, iPhone, iPod or android device. You can download the eBook by clicking here.

We hope that you will join in with what God is going to teach and reveal to us as a church body through seeing his redemptive plan throughout the whole of scripture.  If you have any questions be sure to call or email Ben at any time.  You can email Ben by clicking here.
