Coming up around the corner we will be throwing our annual Middle and High School Christmas Parties! We will be playing tons of games, hanging out with your best friends, eating delicious food, white elephant gift exchange, ugly Christmas sweater competition and more! The High School party will be on December 16th from 6-9pm. The Middle School party will be on December 19th from 6-9pm.
We are asking that everyone brings a white elephant gift. Don’t know what that is?
White Elephant Gifts are typically inexpensive, humorous items or used items from home. The term white elephant refers to a gift whose maintenance costs exceed its usefulness. For further reading click here.
We as a staff will provide the main course. We are asking the students to bring the rest, here is a guide for all of that goodness (based on last name):
- A-F: Bring Drink
- G-R: Bring Appetizers
- S-Z: Bring Dessert
We hope that you will be able join us as we spend time celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. Look forward to seeing you then!
With Thanksgiving upon us it is easy to get caught up in all of the craziness of cooking food, baking pies, trying not set the house on fire, entertaining guests, cleaning the house, etc. etc. Let’s face it, the Holidays can be very stressful and we can easily lose sight of their purpose. Thanksgiving is not a time to stress over the details but (as Christians) to be thankful for what God has provided for us in our lives. This coming Sunday we are going to spend time looking at ways those in the Bible expressed their gratitude toward God. As a helpful reminder we have created this graphic you can save as your home screen on your iPhone or iPod. The words come from 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Let it be a reminder every time you pull out your phone or iPod to be thankful for God in all moments of your life. Enjoy.
Ladies! Just around the corner is our very first Girl’s Formal! I am so excited about this evening. We are going to be having a time of transformation from 4-6pm; the girls will have their hair and makeup done by professionals. They will also be having pedicures and manicures. The event begins at 6pm and goes till 10pm in the Atrium. Dinner is provided in the total cost for the evening: $10. Make sure to get your forms into the office or your leader this Sunday! I know this evening will definitely be blessing for all those there that evening. You don’t want to miss out!
