During the month of October, we enjoy the scare of Halloween. At CSM we are jumping on the bandwagon. This month we are kicking off a new series called “Sin and Wrath”. We will look at the darkness of mankind and the judgment that God has for us. As Christians we can never truly understand the price Jesus paid on the cross without understanding the depth of our sin.
Last month we kicked off our monthly Application Sunday. Our students had an opportunity to learn about how to have an effective quiet time. This was a great success! This month we will have our Application Sunday on October 26th. During this time students will look at what repentance is in their small group time (11am-noon). Following that time students will reflect on their own sin. After a time, they will pray for forgiveness and God’s help in these areas of their lives as they throw those sins into a fire at the feet of the cross. We ask students to bring a sack lunch. Application Sunday will go from 11am-1pm. If you have any questions, be sure to email Ben at firstname.lastname@example.org. Below is the teaching schedule for the month.
