Join us December 10 for our Christmas Party from 6-9pm! We will have lots of Christmas themed games, a Christmas photo booth, ugly sweater competition, a white elephant gift exchange and dinner. Pizza will be provided, we ask that last name A-L bring a dessert and M-Z bring a side dish. Also, don’t forget a white elephant gift, something silly under $5. We look forward to seeing you and a friend as we close out another wonderful year of ministry in CSM!
Coming up January 26-28, 2018 is our annual winter retreat Big Chill!! This is an amazing opportunity to get away from the distractions of life and focus on God for a weekend. We will be at Pinecrest Camp and the cost is $130 which covers meals, lodging and everything else.
There will be more details as we get closer but you can signup online by clicking here or on paper by grabbing a handout in the Rafters. If you have any questions you can email firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope to see for this memorable weekend!
Friday, October 27 is our annual CSM Hoedown!! This night is all about putting on your best Halloween costume, cooking up your best chili, baking your best pie and (square) dancing the night away! Everything will be happening from 6-10pm in the church Atrium.
We ask that guys bring chili and girls bring dessert (pie if they want). We will have prizes for the best costumes so be sure to have your best costume for the evening. We will also have a professional square dance caller and lots of redneck games! Don’t miss out on this awesome night to share with your friends!
On September 27 we will have our first invite night of the school year, our Photo Scavenger Hunt! At the Photo Scavenger Hunt we will jump into vans with leaders and parents in search of various clues throughout South County. The team that finds the most clues wins! And the prize will be most delicious!
We encourage students to INVITE their non-churched friends to this event. The event will run from 6:00-8:30pm. Be sure to note that it’s 30 mins before and 30 mins after our regular scheduled time. If you would be interested in driving that evening, you can email email@example.com!
During Evening Worship in September and October we are going to take an in-depth look at The Gospel and what it means. We will break down exactly what salvation is and why we need salvation. Our aim is that these messages will give our believing students assurance of their salvation and our non-believing students a clear portrait of what it means to receive salvation.
In Small Groups till December we will study Psalm 119. Besides being the longest chapter in the Bible, Psalm 119 is rich with reasons to soak in God’s Word. Our goal is to see clearly why we should be in God’s Word through this study. We hope both of these studies build within us a deeper desire for God.
It’s that time of year where we kick off our student activities so we want to bring you up to speed with events coming up this year. We also want to equip you with ways you can better reach out to your teens. We will discuss what is going well at home and what isn’t and how we can help one another.
We know that the spiritual battlefield happens everywhere including the home and we know that the best and most encouraging conversations happen at home with you! We want to help you capitalize on these.
Join us August 27th from Noon-2pm in the Rafters! We will have lunch included and the game room will be open for the students to hang out.
Evening Worship Kick Off is happening tonight from 6:30-8pm!! Things will look a little different this evening as we will start in the Atrium with the rest of the Wednesday evening classes for a potluck dinner at 6:30pm. Be sure to bring an appetizer or dessert to share with everyone. After dinner and a couple words we will spend time together in the Rafters for games and a devotion! We look forward to seeing you then!
